Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Fresno, California. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the organization’s growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records, including journal entries and general ledger updates. • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes accurately and in a timely manner. • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and company accounts to ensure accuracy. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. • Generate financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable standards and company policies. • Provide assistance with budgeting and forecasting tasks to support financial planning. • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, offering required documentation and insights. • Analyze expense reports and financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. • Keep financial documentation organized and maintain data integrity across systems. • Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant financial regulations. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in QuickBooks • Strong Excel skills, including the use of PivotTables and complex formulas. • Strong attention to detail paired with excellent analytical abilities. • Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities. • Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities. • At least 2 years of experience in accounting roles. • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
