As an Equipment Operator / General Laborer at Clean Harbors, you will operate various types of heavy equipment in alignment with safety protocols aimed at hazardous waste disposal and emergency spill responses. You will also engage in general labor tasks, promoting environmental safety and workplace efficiency. This role requires precision, vigilance, and a commitment to upholding stringent safety standards to protect the environment and public health. Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, skid steers, front-end loaders, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Perform routine inspection and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational safety and effectiveness. Assist in the response to emergency spillages including containment and recovery. Handle hazardous materials in compliance with company and federal health and safety regulations. Engage in general labor including loading and unloading materials, site preparation and cleanup, and supporting other team members in project execution. Proven ability to operate heavy machinery under stringent safety guidelines. Strong understanding of hazardous materials handling and environmental compliance. Physical stamina and strength required for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Capability to perform team-oriented tasks as well as independent duties with minimal supervision. Excellent observational and problem-solving skills to identify issues and ensure safety.
