Job Description:

Haskell is seeking a Design Engineeer- Packaging Automation to join their team. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing PLC and HMI software as well as the electrical design utilizing PLCs, instrumentation, valve controls, and motor controls while ensuring it is technically sound.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement design standards
2. Development of equipment requirements and specifications
3. Providing plant and equipment layouts and flow sheets in Auto CAD
a. bid packages and bid executions
b. drawing packages
c. design/draft in Auto CAD
d. start and support in field
e. factory acceptance test (FAT) support
4. Preparing feasibility studies and equipment comparisons
5. Maintaining schedules, and being cost efficient
6. On-site installation & start-up support
7. Develop personal technical skills as well as those of co-workers
8. Travel required

Education/Experience:

Degreed Engineer, pursuing professional registration is preferred with 0-5 years of experience in packaging and production systems and/or have significant production in machinery design. Must be knowledgeable of or able to quickly learn the various packaging machinery systems and their capabilities and limitations.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc..:
1. Must have or developed computer aided design (CAD)
2. Moderate computer skills
3. Ability to work independently
4. Ability to adjust to changing timelines and meet deadlines
5. Excellent time management skills
6. Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
