Responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the G3 Enterprises' Manufacturing Food Safety Programs. Ensures consistent adherence to food safety compliance and alignment of food safety objectives. Delivers strategic and project support by providing guidance in systems, processes and new equipment as it relates to food safety. Responsible for leading the development and implementation of Food Safety programs and training programs. Acts as the Sustainability technical expert for the G3 manufacturing divisions. Functions as the liaison for customers, ensuring consistent alignment of food safety objectives. Oversees Lean program for the Closure division.-- Essential Functions

--- Designs, develops and implements operations policies, procedures, systems and strategies against corporate food safety standards.
--- Functions as the main contact for any food safety issues, questions, or continuous improvement initiatives for customers.
--- Drives any correction action follow-ups, verification activities and audits from FSSC 22000 internal and external audits--
--- Facilitates and performs root cause analysis for food safety related issues for customers
--- Determines training needs, develops tools and communication aids, or provides training to company, supplier and bottler personnel to ensure the appropriate level of knowledge is transferred to the field to assist with the effective implementation of each food safety initiative.
--- Interprets and applies statistical techniques as appropriate in food safety related issues.
--- Uses food safety audit findings to drive continuous improvement and to prevent reoccurrences; presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership team.
--- Participates in team projects or on teams to share information, perspective and direction on food safety related issues.
--- Develops any food safety related corrective action plans and audits, if necessary, to confirm effectiveness.
--- Maintains current and relevant knowledge related to Sustainability initiatives for any of G3's packaging components.--
--- Facilitates Lean/Process Improvement Program for the Closure division
--- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

--- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of quality assurance/quality control, production-operations process/program management or engineering experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and 9 years of quality assurance/quality control, production-operations/program management or engineering experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility.--
Preferred Qualifications
--- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Science or Engineering plus 8 years of quality assurance/quality control or engineering experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility.--
--- Master degree.
--- FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor certification--
--- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
--- Manufacturing experience.
--- Project management experience.
--- Experience with Food and Beverage industry best practices, FDA regulations, and quality systems.
--- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 / 22000, HACCP.
--- Experience building relationships and influencing organizational functions such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Development, and Marketing.
--- Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
--- Demonstrated use of root cause analysis or Lean tools.
--- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
--- Demonstrated team building, leadership and mentoring skills.
--- Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
--- Experience making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and boards of directors.
--- Skilled in applying principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
--- Experience effectively responding to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
--- Excellent organization and negotiation skills.
--- Experience handling multiple projects and effectively managing timelines. Physical Demands
