Senior Manager, Analytics page is loaded Senior Manager, Analytics Apply locations USA-California-Palo Alto time type Full time posted on Posted 3 Days Ago job requisition id R2301384 Search Jobs Job DescriptionDuties: Design and implement new features using C/C++, Python, Golang in Avi Vantage (now VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer) solution areas of TCP/IP networking and HTTP protocol stack. Write automated functional test cases in Python for the features implemented. Review code provided by peer engineers in the team. Troubleshoot internally found issues as well as customer issues and provide fixes. Work with cross-functional and QA teams to ensure high quality deliverables. Coach and manage team members to perform above duties. Hire, supervise and conduct performance appraisals for team members as per business requirements. Gather feature, functionality and scale requirements from internal and external customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roadmap. Perform project planning and prioritization for roadmap items in official releases. Evaluate new products and technologies in the market and identify risks. Work with customers to identify product strategy. Create new technology in networking and application security areas.Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunication Networks, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related position. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunication Networks, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related position.Employer requires at least six (6) of the following skills gained through industry experience:

• Layer2 -Layer7 Network layer technologies--
• Network Security Algorithms and Software Systems--
• Designing and evolving highly scalable, highly available network software systems--
• Troubleshooting with production, multi-tenant and distributed software systems--
• Linux operating system and internals--
• Time and space efficient software algorithms in C and C++--
• Writing automated functional and unit test suites for functionality;
• Project planning and estimation for features committed in software releases.*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from this VMware office in Palo Alto, CA. Multiple openings. Ref #R2301384.For CO, NY, CA and WA residents, the salary range for this position is: $266,926 - $331,000/year . The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
