New Plant Manager Search- Low Cost of Living Central California- Up to High $100K s- Low $200K s Our client is an industry leading manufacturing organization that has enjoyed year-over-year growth organic growth. They have a manufacturing footprint that provides packaging solutions for some of the largest global organizations across multiple industries. They have asked us to help identify a hands-on, collaborative Plant Manager to lead their flagship manufacturing facility. This role will report directly to the Vice President Manufacturing. They are committed to hiring the best of the best and have not to disqualify candidates due to compensation. Targeted total compensation package will depend on experience but can range into the high 100K's to low $200K s range (base + bonus) and will be based in the greater Modesto, CA area (relocation provided). This is a succession planning hire; they are looking for someone capable of promotion taking on additional operational responsibilities within the first 24-36 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Set the strategic direction and momentum for the manufacturing functions in the plant.
Oversee, plan, and implement strategy to optimize the effective utilization of workforce, materials, and machinery.
Schedule work, coordinate production activities, provide direct oversight of employees, approve time records, communicate, and implement company policy.
Engage in employee development activities, make recommendations on employee hire, promotion, and disciplinary action.
Assure an even flow of work through all manufacturing functions in order to meet production goals and minimize unscheduled downtime.
Maintain a clean, safe, and injury free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all employees.
Oversee the hiring, training, promotions, and performance evaluation of employees.
Analyze production performance, identify opportunities, make recommendations for process and equipment improvement, establish, and execute goals.
Ensure predictive and preventative maintenance programs are accomplished and repairs are completed on a timely basis so that production objectives are met.
Oversee the appropriated implementation of health, safety, environmental, quality, and continuous improvement standards are met.
Assist Senior Management in developing business plans and evaluating and recommending capital projects to ensure the plant remains successful.
