FUNCTIONS:
- Meets compliance and reporting requirements of federal or state
regulations and ensures enforcement of all security and safety
regulations, rules, and policies of the Center.
- Informs the Center Director of all incidents and/or situations
that may have adverse effect on the Center, students, or
personnel.
- Supports the Center Safety Officer with monthly inspection of
the fire safety systems and monthly fire drills.
- Maintains control, custody, and proper utilization of assigned
equipment.
- Ensures compliance with security instructions, training,
directives and established work schedules, programs, and
assignments.
- Coordinates the proper preparation and timely submission of all
forms and reports prepared and/or maintained by security
shifts.
- Performs periodic inspections of assigned areas of
responsibility to ensure that applicable directives are complied
with and that delegated responsibilities are being carried out
efficiently.
- Establishes and maintains working and support relationships
with law enforcement agencies; ensuring criminal incidents are
reported to law enforcement promptly.
- Guides and promotes safe work performance by developing safety
systems, policies and procedures, communications, and recognitions
for subordinates in areas supervised.
- Ensures that employability skills, attitudes and knowledge is
practiced and integrated into all phases of career development and
student life on Center to ensure life career success.
- Describes goals, performance expectations and standards, and
articulates how their individual performance supports the
admission, career preparation, career development and career
transition of students.OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Develops job performance standards and work assignments for
staff within the department and monitors the work performance of
the department.
- Exhibits behaviors and best practices that are consistent with
the vision and values of the company.
- Practices social and employability skills with students and
staff that are consistent with the established Job Corps Career
Success Standards.
- Practices safe work habits to eliminate and control potential
safety and health hazards and to maintain a safe workplace
environment.

Procedures.

- Operates Center vehicles to provide transportation for students

and/or authorized staff.Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor's degree
in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Police Science or a related
field, and three years' experience in corrections, security, and/or
law enforcement with functional or line supervision
experience.ORAssociate degree or equivalent in Corrections,
Criminal Justice, Police Science or related field and five years'
experience in safety, security, and/or law enforcement with
functional or line supervision experience.SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Training or certification in one or more of the following is
required: physical security professional; corrections security;
juvenile justice; criminal justice; law enforcement; or military.
Preferred experience - history of working with youth and/or young
adults in an education setting.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
