SoundThinking is hiring a Solutions Director for our SafetySmart Platform, who will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all SoundThinking solutions and their utilization within the platform. The Director, SafetySmart Platform Solutions will collaborate with the Vice President, SafetySmart Platform, Sales, Marketing, and Product Development to support proactive and programmatic go-to-market strategies. This position requires maintaining core competency and familiarity with all current and future SoundThinking products.SoundThinking is a leading public safety technology company delivering AI- and data-driven solutions for law enforcement, civic leadership, and security professionals. • SafePointe: Concealed weapons detection systemResponsibilities include:
• Providing technical expertise for products within the SafetySmart platform and supporting sales presentations.
• Assisting Regional Sales Directors with product demos, meetings, and diagnosing customer needs.
• Collaborating with Marketing and Product Management to refine value propositions, ROI, and messaging.
• Participating in demand generation activities such as conferences and webinars.
• Demonstrating products and explaining their features and benefits to clients and prospects.
• Acting as a technical advisor to help clients understand how solutions meet their needs.
• Supporting sales efforts by qualifying and prioritizing opportunities.
• Representing the company in public forums, including meetings and media interviews.
• Maintaining a deep understanding of academic research and industry best practices related to license plate reader systems.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting sales during meetings and product demonstrations with technical expertise.
  • Experience with computer-aided dispatch (CAD), records management (RMS), crime analysis, weapons detection, patrol management, license plate readers, or traffic cameras is highly preferred.
  • Strong software skills and understanding of product integrations.
  • Experience in supporting sales within the public safety sector.
  • Ability to navigate highly charged political environments and communicate effectively with law enforcement personnel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (2-3 days per week).
  • Law enforcement background at an executive or supervisory level is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
