RoleWe are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the
strategy and execution for Tinder's recommendations ML/AI team. In
this critical role, you will drive the enhancement of our
recommendation systems, leveraging advanced machine learning
algorithms, cutting-edge AI technologies, and sophisticated user
behavior modeling to deliver highly personalized experiences for
our members. You will be responsible for setting the vision,
defining key metrics, and overseeing the development of innovative
features that push the boundaries of personalization and
engagement.The ideal candidate will have a technical background in
machine learning and AI, product management experience, and a track
record of using data-driven insights to drive impactful product
improvements. Your expertise in both strategic planning and
hands-on execution will be essential in shaping the future of our
recommendation systems and ensuring they meet the evolving needs of
our global user base.Where you'll work:This is a hybrid role and
requires in-office collaboration. This position is based in San
Francisco or Palo Alto, CA.In this role, you will:
- Develop detailed specifications for large-scale ML/AI driven
recommendations features critical to the business, guiding teams
through the development process while considering the broader
strategic implications of each feature.
- Partner closely with engineering and data science to improve
Tinder recommendations.
- Understand markets, ecosystem effects, and user requirements in
depth.
- Launch new products and features, test their performance, and
iterate quickly.
- Communicate effectively with the broader product team,
cross-functional partners, and senior leadership. Clearly
articulate project requirements, deadlines, deliverables, and
impact for critical initiatives, and achieve stakeholder
buy-in.
- Represent the company's culture and values, and drive
inclusivity across teams.
- Utilize data insights and voice of the customer to drive
product decisions.You'll need:
- 3-5 years of experience in product management or a related
technical role.
- Background in recommendation systems or related ML/AI systems,
ensuring user-centric outcomes and maintaining high standards of
business impact.
- Demonstrated leadership experience working effectively with
engineers, data scientists, and ML practitioners.
- Skills in deconstructing complex product visions into clear,
actionable strategic steps, and crafting product roadmaps that
align with company objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills for sharing
project requirements and strategic insights with cross-functional
teams and leadership.
- Ability to guide decisions on whether to optimize existing
features or develop new solutions, with strong skills in risk
identification and management across a broad product portfolio.Nice

range for this position is $190,000 - $200,000. Factors such as
scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work
experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer
equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence
base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position
based in Palo Alto or San Francisco. This salary will be subject to
a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state),
if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location
