mission. We're looking for someone to join our team as a Patient
Access Representative (PD) who: Provides timely and accurate
patient registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account
information. Verifies all insurance and calculates and collects
patient liability amounts. Ensures that all necessary signatures
are obtained for treatment. Answers any questions and explain
policies clearly. Checks for physician orders and attaches them to
appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received.
Prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient to for
distribution to unit/department. Escorts patients to his/her area
or refers patient to available escort as needed. Essential
- Maintains responsibility for timely and accurate patient
registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account
information. Verifies all insurance and demographic information.
Calculates and collects patient liability amount while continually
demonstrating excellent customer service. Ensures all necessary
signatures are obtained. Answers any questions and explains
policies clearly and concisely.
- Checks for physician orders and attaches them to patient
medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate
- Chooses correct health plan and accurately and research to
ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enters all authorization
information accurately as needed.
- Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned. You'll be
successful with the following qualifications: Education:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of
education/related experience: Preferred Adventist Health is
