Job Description:
Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology
Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Cath Lab
setting is required. License: State Radiology Tech license is
required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCI RCIS, ARRT are required.
Must-Have: - Experience as a Cath Lab Scrub Tech - Experience with
Cath Lab monitoring - Experience with Cath Lab Circulator tasks -
Proficient in handling Heart Caths, Pacemakers, STEMI calls, and
Balloon Bumps Description: The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible
for providing technical support in the Cath Lab. Involves
performing various procedures such as diagnostic cardiac
catheterizations and interventional cardiology. Accurate monitoring
of patients during procedures is essential. Maintains a sterile
field and assists in the setup of equipment. The role includes
fluency in both circulatory and scrub techniques within the lab.
The candidate should have skills in angioplasty, aortography, and
cardiac stent placement. Experience with electrophysiology
procedures is preferred. Required to provide life-threatening
arrhythmias recognition and effective communication with the team.
Must be available to perform on-call shifts as required. Ability to
work efficiently under pressure is a must. The position requires
proficiency in charting and documentation practices. Experience
with specific charting systems is encouraged. The candidate should
adhere to all safety protocols and standards. Develops inventories
and maintains supplies for Cath Lab procedures. The role demands
teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary setting.
Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, including call shifts
as needed. Compliance with all background policies will be
evaluated before employment. Continuing education and maintenance
of certifications are essential for this role.
