Job Description:
Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology
Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years scrubbing,
circulating, and monitoring Cath Lab procedures. License: AART and
state license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS.
Must-Have: Experience with Coronary Angiograms with PCI,
Pacemakers, and Peripheral Aortograms. Call requirement of 8-12
shifts per month. One weekend of call required per month.
Description: The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for scrubbing,
circulating, and monitoring procedures. They will assist in
performing various cardiac interventions. Duties include ensuring
the maintenance of sterile environments. The tech will prepare
access sites and monitor patients during procedures. They will be
involved in equipment setup and inventory management. Accurate
monitoring of hemodynamics and vital signs is essential. Experience
with advanced cardiac procedures is preferred. The position
requires recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. The candidate
should be familiar with various catheterization techniques. Ability
to perform EKG lead placements is necessary. Familiarity with
imaging systems and diagnostic procedures is required.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is expected for optimal patient
care. Candidates must have strong skills in patient assessment and
care.
