Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid state
nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP,
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Previous charge
experience preferred - Travel experience required - Experience with
charting system Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care
in the Labor and Delivery specialty. The nurse will be responsible
for monitoring the health and well-being of mothers and newborns.
The nurse will assist with both high-risk deliveries and routine
procedures. Skill in recognizing and responding to abnormal fetal
heart rate patterns is required. Experience in managing postpartum
complications is essential. The nurse will support breastfeeding
and lactation needs of new mothers. Ability to collaborate with
interdisciplinary support teams is necessary. The nurse should have
experience with various clinical procedures including cesarean
sections and vaginal deliveries. Strong communication skills are
critical to ensure effective patient care. Flexibility with
scheduling is important to accommodate patient needs and unit
requirements. Knowledge of current nursing practices and protocols
in Labor and Delivery is essential. The nurse will maintain a safe
