PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Davis, California, 95616! Job Title: PACU
Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU
Duration: 11 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (11:00 -
19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: California
Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU - Epic charting system
experience Description: Traveler must be pre-closed. Local bill
rates may differ. Accountable for the assessment, coordination,
delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient
care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in an acute
patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all
patients in an assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates
a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural,
spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fosters and maintains
collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support
group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely
and effective communications. Adheres to hospital policies,
industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and
regulations to promote an optimal patient experience. Call may be
possible on weekends, but is minimal and dependent on departmental
needs. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults,
pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census is approximately
15. Experience managing patient care for a variety of surgical
procedures is essential. Required skills include inpatient care,
arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition and management,
blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients.
Additional procedures include conscious sedation, pain assessment
and management, and medication reconciliation. Staffing ratios are
typically 2 patients per nurse during the day and night shifts. The
unit provides interdisciplinary support from various specialties
and holds a variety of special procedures. Candidates should be
prepared for a thorough work history verification, and they must
provide accurate work history for the past 7 years. 5 Benefits of
