The Radiology Technician performs high-quality diagnostic imaging
procedures in an outpatient clinical setting while ensuring patient
safety, comfort, and confidentiality. This role supports physicians
and clinical staff by producing accurate imaging studies,
maintaining equipment, and contributing to an efficient workflow.
The Radiology Technician provides exceptional patient care
consistent with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance
with physician orders and established protocols. Verify patient
identity, review medical history, and explain procedures to ensure
patient understanding and comfort. Position patients correctly to
obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure. Capture,
process, and transmit digital radiographic images using PACS and
related systems. Ensure images meet quality standards before
submission to providers for interpretation. Maintain strict
adherence to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.
Utilize protective devices and safe practices to safeguard
patients, staff, and self. Monitor patients for adverse reactions
or distress and respond appropriately. Maintain patient privacy in
compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies. Prepare, clean, and
manage exam rooms and imaging equipment. Maintain accurate
documentation, including procedure logs and patient records. Report
equipment malfunctions and coordinate service as needed. Assist
with front-office tasks when required, such as scheduling or
patient check-in Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical
assistants, and other team members to support seamless patient
care. Communicate effectively with referring providers to clarify
imaging needs. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an
accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT
certification (R) and active CA state licensure. Current BLS
certification. Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures,
radiation safety, and equipment operations Excellent
patient-service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced
outpatient environment. Prior experience in an occupational
medicine or outpatient clinic preferred Prior experience with EMR
