UES, Inc. is seeking a creative Software Engineer, with expertise in managing complex data streams and a passion for accelerating technology innovation through cloud capabilities, to join our team working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. Our team of research scientists and engineers at UES is moving from traditional lab notebooks and spreadsheets to autonomy-enabling cloud environments where data is automatically processed, stored in databases, and shared with the relevant stakeholders. An ideal candidate will have hands-on cloud development experience including data ingest, databases, application development, and digital process automation. • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experiences designing, building, and deploying databases for complex data streams OR cloud-based automated data processing.
• Expert in Python(preferred), SQL (preferred), Java, C#, or similar languages
• Excellent communication skills related to technical concepts
• This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship Additional Skills Preferred:
  • Experience in research environments or working with data coming from similar environments
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or a willingness to adapt existing cloud computing skills to a GCP environment.
  • Demonstrated experiences designing, building, and deploying databases for complex data streams AND cloud-based automated data processing.
