Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position: The Ion endoluminal system is Intuitive's new robotic platform for minimally invasive biopsy in the peripheral lung, aiming to improve early lung cancer diagnosis. The system utilizes advanced machine learning (ML) algorithms for medical image analysis, providing a state-of-the-art image guidance solution. We are seeking a talented Sr Software Engineer, ML Platform, to join our dynamic team.Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and tools supporting the entire ML lifecycle, from development to deployment.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and software developers to integrate ML models seamlessly into our systems, ensuring scalable value delivery.
• Develop infrastructure for managing ML models, including deployment to various medical robot platforms.
• Create methods for data collection, labeling, versioning, storage, and preprocessing for ML applications.
• Build tools for ML model evaluation and validation to assess impact on clinical outcomes.
• Work closely with ML scientists, embedded software engineers, and DevOps teams to facilitate deployment and monitoring.
• Coordinate with data engineering and IT teams to develop data pipelines supporting ML lifecycle management.
• Stay informed on evolving AI, ML, and cloud technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidance (e.g., FDA, data privacy) concerning ML processes.
