Job Description Job Description Staff Geologist - Mid-Level Location: Oakland, CA ACC Environmental Consultant Company, has an opportunity for a detail oriented, well organized, dependable Geologist, for our Bay Area location. This mid level, full-time position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and willingness to learn. This position is a combination of field and office work with a heavy focus on field efforts, data evaluation and reporting. This position requires some travel. Anticipated travel amount is up to 20%. Successful Candidates Should Have: Preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience required. Familiar with environmental site investigations, groundwater monitoring, groundwater/soil sampling, assessment, characterization, and date quality review/date evaluation. Provides support, including data management and statistical analysis, preparation of technical documents, figures and investigations. Maintains, and provides periodic reports. Manages data requests with various stakeholders and evaluates and prepares responses to regulatory issues. Must be willing to travel within the state of Oregon, Washington, Idaho. Oral and written communications are very important for this position. Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities. Detail oriented and strong organization skills. Proven ability to perform in a high volume, time sensitive/deadline driven environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at a given time. Ability to work and contribute to a team environment. OSHA 40-hour Hazmat training a plus. Proficient with several computer applications including MS Word and Excel. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in geology, environmental geology, engineering or related discipline. Advanced degree is a plus. LG or RG preferred or the ability to acquire GIT within two years of employment.
