Purchasing AssistantPeople not located within 30 miles will not be considered.Purchasing Assistant with new construction experience preferred in the Modesto area.Job Description: Assist the Purchasing Manager in all facets and activities in the operation of the Purchasing Department.Assist Compliance Department in obtaining insurance certificates for vendors to remain in complianceProcess & Documentation DistributionCreate and Distribute Project Information BindersCreate & Maintain Sales Feature Book in PowerPointMaintain and Track Manufacture RebatesObtains samples for Design Center & Sales OfficePerform all other duties as assigned with limited supervisionInteract with various department to resolve day to day issuesMay be required to cross train for duties within the purchasing department from time to time, as requiredQualifications2 years of prior new construction purchasing experience is preferredHigh School diploma required; some college preferableProficient in computers, including all Microsoft Programs, advanced Excel skills preferredStrong communication skills, both oral and written, are requiredAbility to continuously project a positive image of--when dealing with homeowners, subcontractors and the general public, while maintaining a courteous and even temper when dealing with all types of situationsAbility to read and interpret documents such as operating and administrative instructions, and follow set proceduresAbility to write routine reports and correspondencePrior construction experience is preferredPay: $16-20Employment: Full TimeEducation: High SchoolExperience: 2 YearsTravel: None
