This position will operate critical manufacturing equipment that
meets quality compliance with national food safety regulations. The
Team member will be responsible for achieving and improving
production goals, targets, and opportunities for the entire
production line. All positions at Blue Diamond Growers operate
following the same 5 objectives; First safety, quality, service,
performance and people. This position will be responsible for
machinery, autonomous maintenance, troubleshooting equipment,
training other team members, and sanitation. Follows established
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), policies and procedures, and
safety procedures while performing all job duties. Adhere to all
procedures and practices associated with Food Safety, Food Security
and Food Quality.
Safely operate and maintain plant equipment while monitoring
quality and line performance to ensure targets are met.
Responsibilities include all HACCP policies are being completed as
specified in the HACCP manual, Company GMPs are being followed, all
key performance measures are met, and team member technical
training is being completed. The team member will participate in
and/or facilitate daily pre-shift meetings. Function daily as a
fully participating Team Member in support of driving continuous
improvement and operating results.
Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled or as required.
Coordinates the maintenance and repairs with the Team Leader,
Manager and/or Maintenance Manager.
Required to follow, maintain, develop, and improve standard work
practices across all machine lines.
Must understand Blue Diamond line certification, HACCP process
and auditing, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Safety
Required to perform general housekeeping and various sanitation
Actively participates on various Committees and Teams to improve
overall operations effectiveness.
Performs GMP and Standardized Work Audits such as 5S, Gemba walk
Required to operate a fork lift and /or transporter and must be
BD Certified and Licensed to operate either equipment.

POSITION DIMENSIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level and Focus:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Years and Type of Related Experience Required:
4 years similar or related production manufacturing position
Previous experience operating machinery is required.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical

Position requires knowledge of machine operations and mechanical
aptitude to keep machinery and equipment operating optimally and
Interpersonal and Communication:
Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work
under limited supervision. Receives guidelines from Team Leader but
is expected to decide what actions to take when handling all but
the most unusual task. Must regularly exercise discretion and

Ability to efficiently operate equipment via HMI. Must be able
to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work
