The Patient Relations Representative supports the mission of MMCM
to provide high quality of care by functioning as a frontline
patient liaison within the Patient Relations group that is part of
the Quality Improvement Department. This position provides
excellent customer service, listening to our customers, advocating
for customer concerns, investigating, collaborating and accountable
for resolving concerns, identifying and initiating the driving
changes that continually improve the care and services provided to
patients of Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Communications and public relations background
- Experience in healthcare based customer service
- MIDAS exposure preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Very strong customer service and conflict resolution skills,
along with an ability to work successfully with a wide variety of
internal and external customers to achieve desired outcomes, are
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing in a friendly,
clear, confident, and concise manner with patients, families and
all levels of the organization is imperative. Able to instill
confidence through a calm, patient demeanor, and a professional
appearance and manner. An understanding of how to communicate both
positive and negative outcomes is critical.
- Proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office, with an
emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook, and EPIC.
- Strong customer service skills, ability to coordinate service
recovery, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and
maintain positive relationships in dealing with co-workers,
physicians, patients, families and community resources.
- Strong verbal and written skills. All qualified applicants will
