Job Description:

Del Monte is looking to hire seasonal employees to work in a variety of operator positions at the Modesto, CA Plant from mid-June through early October with additional work available through mid-December. The starting pay varies based on position and begins at $21.44 per hour. Overtime pay is also available. Below is a list of some of the operator positions available.

• Casing Machine Operator - Primary duties include starting and stopping the machine in accordance with operating requirements, filling magazines with cardboard, watching for mislabeling, unjamming the machine, setting aside dented cans or damaged containers, making routine adjustments, and other related duties as assigned.
• Distributor Operator - Primary duties include starting and stopping equipment and making sure that the machine is depositing fruit to the right place as required.
• Panel Distributor Operator - Primary duties include starting and stopping equipment, using an HMI panel, seeing that fruit is depositing to the right area, changing distribution of the machine as required, coordinating with required staff, and calling for technical staff to assist when necessary.
• Label Machine Operator - Primary duties include checking labels, stock, size, grade, etc. against labeling orders, making adjustment to equipment, keeping the machine supplied with labels and adhesive, and cleaning the machine as needed.
