Overview San Luis Care Center is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Painter to expand our team! The Assistant Painter will report to the Supervisory Painter and will be responsible for rehabbing and painting multiple long-term care facilities. Most of the work focuses on interiors of rooms after residents move out and before new residents move in; occasional exterior painting work as needed. Paint the interiors and exteriors of multiple facilities as required Work with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers, to maintain facilities to both the state and resident preferences Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping Collaborate with facility Maintenance, Administration and Direct Care staff Project coordination and completion in an efficient, timely manner Match paint samples for projects Meet with Administrators, Regional VP's and Regional Physical Plant Managers to discuss color and finish options as well as other design details for leasing spaces Work Environment This job operates in a fast paced, nursing home environment. Requires ability to travel to multiple locations and maintain safe work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors. It is physically demanding and requires a lot of bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing. May work at extreme heights or in uncomfortable positions. the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
