As the Bottling EHS Specialist for Modesto Operations you will be responsible for implementation and continuous improvement of select Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety programs necessary to ensure the organization is in compliance with relevant federal, state and local laws, regulations and standards at a multiple-site level. This role will work directly with safety managers, operational managers, team leaders, and team members of all departments serving the Gallo Modesto campus. As part of the 24/7 facility operations, you will be responsible for offering support across shifts to mitigate EHS hazards in the workplace by conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and partnering with facilities to drive corrective actions to closure and improve EHS programs.

What You Will Do

  • Provides "boots-on-the-ground" Environmental health & safety compliance support in collaboration with safety & Environmental managers who oversee all Gallo Modesto facilities
  • Provides coverage for safety managers in response to site incidents including on-call support
  • Works with supervisors to facilitate incident investigations, identifies root cause to prevent recurrence, and tracks corrective action effectiveness for injuries
  • Drives continuous improvement and closure to select Environmental health, safety, and industrial hygiene compliance gaps identified through corporate audits, internal audits, third party audits, and regulatory inspections
  • Performs safety program self-assessments, job hazard analyses, audits, and inspections for compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements
  • Develops team leader skills and knowledge in environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements for integration into their respective job duties What You Need
    • High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of EHS experience or comparable military experience; OR Bach of Science degree plus 2 years of EHS experience, OMDP experience or comparable military experience; OR Bachelor of Science EHS (Accredited EHS program).
    • Skilled in developing clear written communications, procedures, and work instructions. Ability to present information effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
    • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
    • Ability to source, read and understand, EHS regulations as published by government agencies and applicable to site functions.
    • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
    • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description. What Will Set You Apart
      • Bachelor of Science EHS (Accredited EHS program) and/or possession of EHS related certifications (Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Certified Hazardous Materials Manger (CHMM).
      • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
      • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
      • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
      • Skilled in applying mathematical concepts.
      • Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Compensation:
        • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $71,900 - $107,900
        • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Perks & Benefits:
