Analyst 1, administers and supports Gallo corporate compensation
programs and philosophy to ensure consistency and competitiveness
of the programs and to achieve the organization s goal to attract,
identify, develop, motivate and retain a high performing and
engaged workforce. Researches, analyzes and supports decisions
related to compensation programs and practices. Develops
collaborative client and HR relationships to support the delivery
of effective and efficient compensation needs and services. Ensures
compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as local,
state and federal legislation.WHAT YOU WILL DO Participates in the
development and support of company compensation infrastructure
including preparing and revising job descriptions, conducting
market pricing and evaluating jobs. Prepares offer recommendations
following internal procedures and guidelines and educates HR
partners or hiring managers when needed. Participates in salary
surveys as requested and provides analysis as needed. Supports the
administration of incentive pay programs. Participates in testing
of application enhancements and solutions to address Compensation
systems needs and requirements. Participates in compensation audits
and performs analysis to evaluate jobs to ensure equitable wage and
salary rates, both internally and externally. Advises HR business
partners and the business in the various aspects of the
compensation administration programs and resolves issues. Provides
counsel to the business and HR business partners in the review of
pay changes and reviews salary adjustment recommendations to ensure
compliance with established guidelines, policies and practices.\
Participates in the development and continuous improvement of
department guidelines, practices, procedures and performance
metrics. Conducts special compensation and business-related studies
or projects as requested. Reviews key job duties and
accountabilities to support the determination of appropriate FLSA
classifications to ensure company compliance with federal, state
and local laws. Contributes to compensation communication and
training.WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of
experience in Human Resources, Compensation Administration,
Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics reflecting increasing
levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued
equivalency certificate plus 5 years of experience in Human
Resources, Compensation Administration, Accounting, Finance,
Economics or Mathematics to include experience in handling
confidential information, salary planning or general compensation
reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Strong analytical
and complex problem-solving skills; takes a new perspective using
existing solutions. Detail driven individual with emphasis on
accuracy, coupled with ability to see the broader picture and
summarize complex data. Responsible for working with highly
sensitive and confidential information and maintaining the
confidentiality of the information used during the normal course of
business. Computer skill requirements include intermediate MS
Excel; basic MS PowerPoint & MS Word.WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience in Human Resources,
Compensation Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or
Mathematics reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR 7
years of experience in Human Resources, Compensation
Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics to
include experience in handling confidential information, salary
planning or general compensation reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global
Remuneration Professional (GRP). Knowledge of OFCCP and CA Fair Pay
regulations and compliance. Experienced in Lean Six Sigma problem
solving methodologies or LSS certified. Project Management
experience. Knowledge of ADP and Success Factors functionality.
Knows and applies a broad working knowledge of compensation
principles, practices and procedures. Experience reading, analyzing
and interpreting general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Skilled
in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Skilled in effectively presenting information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the
general public. Experience working with mathematical concepts such
as statistical inference. Skilled in applying concepts such as
fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical
situations. Advanced computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Skilled in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
