We are currently recruiting for the position of:

Vice President, Distribution Operations - Modesto, CA

Job Summary :

The Vice President, Distribution Operations provides strategic leadership, corporate direction, fiscal responsibility and accountability for warehouse and transportation operations. This position is responsible for distribution planning, forecasting, inventory management, site maintenance, and logistics for all Company supply chain locations. This position also provides strategic leadership and direction to warehouse and transportation teams, developing and implementing the company's distribution and logistics policies and initiatives in support of the company's goals and objectives.

The Vice President ensures effective communication and collaboration of supply chain operations with third party providers and store operations teams, resulting in excellent store service and in stock conditions to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

--- Accountable for all distribution and logistics operations, budget development and financial performance for supply chain locations.

--- Lead an effective, multi-functional distribution and logistics team that provides integration of all activities, systems, and processes.

--- Foster a culture of operations excellence and continuous improvement, implementing best practices and processes, seeking a blend of highest service levels and lowest cost.

--- Develop KPIs and monitor key processes for warehouse operations and transportation.

--- Monitor retail and supply chain trends and innovations. Understand how these issues may impact the business and supply chain performance.

--- Direct, plan, develop, establish, and implement company warehouse and transportation policies, objectives, and initiatives that are consistent and aligned with the company strategic plan.

--- Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers, customers, and providers of warehouse and transportation services.

--- Ensure that departmental and support teams are aligned for the achievement of continuous improvement of processes and communicate customer needs and requirements.

--- Establish, analyze, and coordinate departmental budget forecasts, and control expenditures to administer approved budget.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) :

--- Extensive knowledge of retail store supply chain management.

--- Ability to lead effectively in a high-volume multi-site distribution operation.

--- Skilled in collaboration and fosters a results-focused business culture and environment.

--- Ability to lead and manage a diverse team.

Education : Four-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience).

Experience : Seven to Ten years of directly related experience.

Other : Frequent local car travel to area distribution site locations.

Physical : Basic office environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects
