Job Description:

As a Principal IT Consultant in the Orchestration and Automation team, you will be responsible for providing thought leadership in Agile methodologies for the IT solutions design and automation development to ensure positive software outcomes. You will serve as the lead IT orchestration and automation subject matter expert by providing expert consultation and management across various infrastructure platforms and services, overseeing the definition of user stories for current and future program increments (PI). You will lead both functional and non-functional development requirements definition and validation, as well as technical solution design oversight and inspection, focusing on the software delivery of orchestration and automation deliverables. You will work within a team using an Agile approach, utilizing tools such as JIRA and Kanban, along with key strategic technologies including: Ansible Application Platform, Apigee, BigPanda, vRA/vRO, ServiceNow, Terraform, API, and Security standards oversight. Building consensus across multiple organizations and effectively communicating complex technical information to senior IT leadership will be essential.Job Summary:This senior-level individual contributor role is primarily responsible for serving as the lead technical expert across project teams, setting technical direction for solutions, and overseeing all IT systems.Essential Responsibilities:

• Drive the execution of multiple work streams by identifying customer and operational needs; develop and update procedures and policies; gain cross-functional support; translate business strategy into actionable requirements; allocate resources; set standards and measure progress; remove obstacles; guide performance; develop contingency plans; solve complex issues; and influence project completion.
• Practice self-leadership and promote learning by soliciting feedback, building collaborative relationships, communicating effectively, adapting to demands, mentoring team members, fostering open dialogue, and learning from feedback and change.
• Lead a team of IT consultants in developing requirements for processes or systems across multiple business domains by partnering with stakeholders and IT teams such as Solutions Delivery, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Utilize various requirements gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional needs across the enterprise.
• Develop and document comprehensive business cases to evaluate costs, benefits, ROI, and TCO for complex solutions.
• Guide the evolution of applications, systems, and processes to future states by analyzing current processes and their impact on business operations.
• Lead teams in mapping current state processes to future state.
• Assess the impact of requirements on upstream and downstream components.
• Provide insights and influence to executive management on integrating requirements with existing systems and processes.
• Review and prioritize opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Lead solution design by translating requirements into business solutions and facilitating design sessions.
• Recommend additional data or services to address key business issues.
• Evaluate third-party vendors as needed.
• Drive continuous process improvement by developing and maintaining standardized tools, templates, and processes.
• Advocate for regional and national process improvements aligned with best practices and strategic goals.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, or related field, with at least ten (10) years of experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or related areas. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.Additional Requirements:
